About

Hemlock Restaurant and Bar serves breakfast and dinner out of the recently remodeled Inelle Hotel in Oakhurst, and it's built a real local following alongside the tourist traffic passing through. It holds a 4.3-star rating across 46 reviews, with regulars pointing to a Mediterranean-leaning menu, generous portions, and a locals discount that keeps residents coming back.

On the Menu

Reviewers consistently call out a handful of dishes: the Wagyu burger with housemade chunky ketchup, Eggplant Parmesan, and a Mediterranean appetizer platter are repeat favorites, alongside roasted carrots with whipped ricotta and Belgian fries finished with garlic. Butternut squash soup shows up as a lighter, meal-sized option. Breakfast draws its own crowd for omelets, potatoes, and poached eggs cooked well enough to earn specific praise, though a few diners noted service can slow down during busy stretches and coffee has been inconsistent.

Good to Know

More than one review mentions the kitchen and floor staff by name — Executive Chef Mateo checking in on tables, servers Dean and Emily getting called out for attentive service — which tracks with the restaurant's reputation as a spot people return to for birthdays and celebrations, not just a quick meal.

Such a nice and lovely place to eat!!!! We stayed at the hotel for a few days and had breakfast and dinner there. I can highly recommend the Oatmeal with fresh fruit and cappuccino with oatmilk (breakfast) and the pita with hummus and the caramelised carrots with ricotta (dinner). Also, the ambience is really comfortable and I'd definitely come back.

We tried breakfast there on two mornings during our stay. The service was friendly and welcoming, though a bit slow, likely due to staff shortages. The food was enjoyable, especially the omelets, potatoes, and poached eggs, which were perfectly cooked. However, the coffee was disappointing. We tried it both mornings, and it was the same experience each time—served lukewarm and not up to the mark. One downside of this restaurant, located in the Marriott hotel, is the inconsistency in their dinner hours and evening bar schedule, which can be a bit inconvenient.

We stayed at the Inelle Hotel for 4 nights and had breakfast here every morning. Brooklyn served us Sunday morning and was super sweet. The protein bowl is so fresh and delicious! We had Sam every morning the rest of the days. She was solo every day and ran that place LIKE A BOSS! On Monday, Columbus Day, it was packed and she was handling everything so calmly and with grace. She told us they were out of potatoes when she got to work and she had her bf buy some and bring them bc there was no way she could get through breakfast with no potatoes. This is a key employee that is super valuable! We didn’t know they served dinner and would’ve liked to have tried it, but already had reservations. The menu is fairly limited, but I bet it’s great, based on the quality of the breakfast. The girl who worked the afternoon/evening shift also seemed like a super hard worker. Even when she wasn’t busy, she was mopping the floors and cleaning constantly. I really enjoyed the staff here and the food was delicious!
