About
Hotel Charlotte is a small Victorian-style boutique hotel in the historic gold rush village near Yosemite's Big Oak Flat entrance, earning a 4.5-star rating across 450 reviews for its old-building charm and personal service. What guests keep saying
The reviews are consistent: rooms are clean and comfortable, the building has real historic character, and owner Finn comes up again and again by name for going out of his way — sharing Yosemite tips, smoothing a late check-in, making the stay feel personal rather than transactional. Several travelers call it better value than staying inside the park itself.

We had an AMAZING stay at Hotel Charlotte. The room was exceptionally clean, the AC worked great, the owners so welcoming and friendly! You will love staying here, had the best vegan burgers from the saloon across the street and the most delicious ice cream from the ice cream shop. The drive to Yosemite in the morning was stunning, leave early and you will be rewarded with a spectacular sunrise over Half Dome and quiet time in the meadow, simply the best trip!

stayed here before going backpacking in yosemite to shorten the drive from san francisco. Hotel Charlotte was amazing. Owner/manager couldn't have been friendlier and more accommodating, keys were put in safe place for our access due to late arrival, rooms comfortable with cold AC for a hot summer night. And in heart of town for dinner/breakfast. 5/5, thanks for the great stay!

Wonderful little spot! Book directly through the website and interact with the owner. The staff are all warm and welcoming. You're in walking distance of pretty much everything in town. The bed is super comfortable and the shower water pressure was amazing! The restaurant has a wonderful selection of different food and beverages. This place is rich with history, comfort and relaxation.
