About

Mountain Sage Coffee is a specialty coffee shop in Big Oak Flat that regular travelers use as a stop on the way into or out of Yosemite. With a 4.6 rating from 449 reviews, it has built a loyal following for its coffee program, its garden setting, and a staff reviewers repeatedly praise for going out of their way to help.

What to Expect

The drink menu goes beyond drip coffee — reviewers call out the lavender green tea and matcha with coconut milk alongside classic lattes, plus a small pastry case that includes lemon bars. The shop sits in a plant-filled setting with seedlings and flower varieties for sale that echo the surrounding hills, with a sunny garden area and a charming indoor space to linger in. The same property houses a small thrift shop and an art gallery worth a browse while your order comes up — reviewers describe it as a good excuse to slow down mid-drive rather than a quick pass-through.
