About

South Gate Brewing Company is a gastropub in Fish Camp, just outside Yosemite's south entrance, known for locally sourced pub fare and a deep lineup of craft beers served in an industrial-chic space. With 4.4 stars from nearly 2,000 reviews, it's become a go-to stop for travelers staying in Oakhurst or Fish Camp who want a solid meal after a day on the trails.

What to Order

Reviewers consistently point to a few standouts: the pretzel with beer cheese, chicken wings, poutine, and fish tacos as starters and shareables, plus heartier plates like the french dip, fried chicken, and Cobb salad. The Stuffed Chicken Roulade comes up repeatedly as a gluten-free favorite, and the brewery makes its own root beer for anyone skipping the alcohol. On the beer side, staff have been known to walk newcomers through samples of the IPA lineup before they commit to a full pint.

Great experience! Excellent burgers and the tacos and salads are also really good. The best service we have encountered so far on the West Coast

I rarely give 5 stars to any place. This brewery deserves it. We had been in Yosemite national Park all day and stopped to eat at one of the bars at the Yosemite lodge. We sat for over thirty minutes and no one came to take our order. We left then drove back to Oakhurst were we are lodging. Found this restaurant online went in. Seated immediately and waited on immediately by the kindnest waitress sorry I never got her name. She didn't flinch when I asked for extra ranch for my cobb salad. She brought 3 . The salad was huge I could only eat a third of it. It was filled with grilled chicken and blue cheese, bacon, tomatoes, small cut red onions and sliced avacado also sliced boiled egg. Oh yeah all on a nice bed of lettuce cut mouth sized so no trying to swallow a giant hunk of green. My husband had a burger and sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were wider than most with just the right amount of sweetness. We also shared the crispy brussel sprouts so very good. So why a five star the ladies bathroom was immaculate. After stopping at nasty bathrooms in Yosemite including at the hotel there. This clean bathroom was a welcomed sight.

Beers are decent and so is the food. Service is alright, but nothing special. It's one of the few breweries in the area.
