Only about half a mile so it’s a short loop, but perfect for my dogs to stretch their legs!

A short, flat loop near Tioga Pass with lake and mountain views
Nunatak Nature Trail sits right off Tioga Road near Tioga Lake, just before you reach Yosemite's eastern entrance at Tioga Pass. It's a short, flat loop that visitors consistently point to as one of the easiest ways to stretch your legs and take in high-country scenery without committing to a full hike.
Reviewers describe the loop as somewhere between a quarter and a half mile, entirely flat, and well maintained. The path passes a few small lakes with mountain views on all sides — the kind of short walk that rewards you disproportionately to the effort. Several visitors called out how clean and well kept the trail is, and more than one said the scenery ranked among the best they'd seen anywhere.
Visitors describe it as a short loop of roughly a quarter to a half mile, entirely flat and easy.
Reviewers mention using it as a quick, easy stop to let dogs stretch their legs, thanks to the flat, short loop.
It's near Tioga Lake, just before Yosemite's eastern entrance at the Tioga Pass entrance station.

The Nunatak Nature Trail located near Tioga Lake by the Eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park. The trail is an easy and flat quarter mile or so trail which passes by a few small lakes and some nice scenery.
