Yosemite Tours
Private, custom-guided Yosemite trips with airport pickup and lodging arranged
About
Yosemite Tours runs private, custom-built guided trips out of El Portal, pairing you with a dedicated guide for multi-day visits instead of a set group-bus route. The company builds the itinerary, arranges lodging, and coordinates pickup and drop-off around what your family actually wants to see.
What guests report
Every review on file rates the company five stars. Guides are singled out by name for knowing the park in real depth and for working well with kids. One family's four-day trip included pickup at Fresno Yosemite International Airport, a stop at the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, dinner at the historic Wawona Hotel, a hike on the Mist Trail to Vernal and Nevada Falls, and a loop of Yosemite Valley past Tunnel View, El Capitan, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, and the Swinging Bridge, ending with drop-off at their next destination. A second reviewer notes the tour ran roughly 20 percent above competitors' rates but included upgraded lodging as part of the package.
More than a Yosemite-only outfit
- Multi-day, family-paced itineraries rather than a fixed script
- Lodging and logistics, including airport transfers, handled as part of the booking
- Past clients report itineraries extending to Mammoth Lakes, Sequoia National Park, Lake Tahoe, Monterey/Big Sur, and San Francisco on request
No pricing or hours are posted publicly — contact the company directly for current rates and availability.

We used this Yosemite Private tours in May 2023 and were so happy with our experience! From the first conversation on the phone until the end of the trip, they took excellent care of us, totally helping us to have the best experience possible for our family of 4 (two boys ages 11, 14) Adam was our tour guide and we were so impressed with how knowledgeable as well as how he got our children to talk a lot. At the end of 4 days he felt like part of our family. I was also impressed with how customizable the trip was. They were so accommodating to our needs and made sure to help us get the best experience for our money and time. Here are a few things we experienced. 1. They picked us up at Fresno Yosemite International Airport with drinks, snacks and even postcards! 2. We then explored the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, including the 3000-year-old grizzly tree. Adam taught us so much about the park that we would have never known on our own. He is also an excellent photographer and made sure we had lots of memories captured. 3. Had a late dinner at the Historic Wawona Hotel. Then he took us to our hotel, which they booked for us and took so much of the stress out of the planning. 4. Hiked the mist trail to see Vernal Fall, Emerald Pool, and Nevada Fall 5. Witnessed the wonders of Yosemite Valley, including the Swinging Bridge, Half Dome, El Capitan, Yosemite Falls, Vernal Falls, and Tunnel View. 6. Dropped us off safely at our next destination in San Francisco. All of this they planned for me and I didn't have the stress of figuring out the park. They even helped me pick the best time of year to visit. One thing I did not realize is how many other areas they service which you could tour with them. I wish we had used them in our trip to San Francisco and drive to Big Sur, we would have been able to see and learn so much more. Here is a list I asked them to send me. Yosemite Mammoth lakes Sequoia national park Redwood national park Crater lake Lake Tahoe Alcatraz / San Francisco Bay Area Wine country Monterey / Carmel / Big Sur All california attractions pretty much
