The Wawona Meadow Loop follows an old unpaved fire road on a flat, easy 3.5-mile round trip around Wawona Meadow, in the park's southern end a few miles north of Fish Camp. It's one of the mellower trails in Yosemite — no scrambling, no exposure, just open meadow views and quiet forest edge for about 1.5 to 2 hours of walking.

Getting There
Start at the Wawona Hotel on Wawona Road (Highway 41). Walk the paved path across the Wawona Golf Course, then look for the signed trailhead on your left where the loop begins. The route circles the meadow and returns you to Wawona Road.
Good to Know
This loop is open year-round and shared with horses and cyclists, so stay aware on blind curves. It's not wheelchair accessible. Interpretive signs along the way cover the history and ecology of the Wawona Basin, making it a solid pick if you want scenery without a steep climb.
