DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE!!! Our experience at this property was extremely disappointing and upsetting. We arrived with all the required documentation and credentials for our son's legitimate medical alert service dog. We understand that many businesses have had negative experiences with fake service animals, and we were more than willing to answer any questions. Our service dog is highly trained, well-behaved, and we always maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Unfortunately, after initially being friendly, the owner became very aggressive, began yelling at us, and refused to accommodate us because of the service dog. Rather than having a respectful conversation, we were threatened with calling the police. After leaving the property, we parked just outside the parking lot, just by the road to look for alternative accommodations. At that point, the owner's son came outside yelling at us, demanding that we leave immediately. We were shocked by the hostility and the way we were treated!!! Beyond the poor customer service, this experience demonstrated a lack of understanding and respect for the rights of people with disabilities and the protections afforded to legitimate service dog handlers under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We cannot recommend staying here under any circumstances. We hope the owners take the time to educate themselves about ADA requirements and learn to treat guests with disabilities with the respect and dignity they deserve.
