Unsere Zeit bei Margaret & Charlie war eine absolute 10/10! Es war das erste Mal, dass wir ein Privatzimmer statt einer ganzen Unterkunft gebucht haben, und wir sind restlos begeistert. Die beiden Hosts sind super sympathisch, man kann sich hervorragend mit ihnen unterhalten und wir haben uns direkt wie zu Hause gefühlt. Unser Zimmer hatte ein eigenes Bad und einen tollen Balkon mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht direkt in die wilde Natur Kaliforniens. Margaret und Charlie waren unglaublich zuvorkommend. Schon vor der Anreise haben sie uns proaktiv über neue Regeln im Park upgedatet. Vor Ort glänzten sie mit exzellentem Yosemite-Wissen und hatten immer den perfekten Rat parat – es fühlte sich fast an, als hätten wir unsere ganz privaten Tour-Guides. Wer eine herzliche Basis für sein Yosemite-Abenteuer sucht, ist hier goldrichtig. Wirklich nur weiterzuempfehlen!

Los dueños son una pareja encantadora, conocen muy bien Yosemite y pueden aconsejarte sobre el parque El alojamiento está muy cerca de Mariposa, a unos 10' (pueblo grande de la zona), y a 1h en coche más o menos de la entrada a Yosemite Las habitaciones están muy bien puestas y limpias, junto con los baños y las zonas comunes Es un sitio muy tranquilo, ideal para alojarse y descansar

If you're still looking for accommodation, you can stop searching—you've found it! Charlie and Margret are wonderful hosts and made our stay even more enjoyable with great recommendations and pleasant conversation. The house is beautiful, and the location is perfect as a base for exploring Yosemite National Park. The drive there is simply breathtaking. A particular highlight was Charlie's homemade sourdough bread—absolutely delicious! We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back!

Don’t think twice about booking here! This was the perfect 3 night stay for my partner and I whilst visiting Yosemite. The main thing that drew us to this place was the fact Charlie and Margaret were ex Yosemite park rangers and this was worth its weight in gold. Charlie was super passionate about the park and pretty much provided us with a 3 day itinerary that worked perfectly for us and everything we wanted to see. He even told us the best route and stops to drive to our next destination to ensure we saw all the best sights. The accommodation itself was exactly as described. It sits about an hour outside of the south entrance to the park. There home had a lovely feel to it with some great views off the front decking. It was clean, well located and the breakfast provided was good and just what you need to start the day right (Margaret’s home made cereal was delicious!). Thank you Charlie, Margaret and Zeke🐶

Wonderful staying! The place is gorgeous, the house and the property very beautiful and peaceful. It’s a good trade-off between being close to the park but also to supermarkets and restaurants in Mariposa. Margaret and Charlie are very welcoming and nice hosts. We didn’t have specific plans for the two days we spent in the Yosemite park, but they had us covered with great tips on what to see and where to go.
