About

Oak Haven Cabin is a private vacation rental in Fish Camp, the small community that sits closest to Yosemite's south entrance along Highway 41. It's set up for a standalone cabin stay rather than a staffed hotel property, with booking and questions handled directly by phone.

What Guests Say

The cabin holds a 4-star average from 5 reviews, and the feedback is genuinely mixed. Several guests rated the stay a full five stars, but two more recent reviews flagged real problems: one guest arrived to a hot cabin because the air conditioning units hadn't been left running (guests are asked to set units to 74°F at checkout), plus an unusable coffee maker with old grounds and the wrong filters. Another described grime left on tables and floors, food residue on dishes and glasses, and spider webs both outside and inside the house. If a spotless arrival matters to you, it's worth asking the owner directly about recent cleaning turnaround before you book.

Booking & Contact

Call (917) 660-0775 to book or ask questions. Listed contact hours run 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, seven days a week. Fish Camp has very little in the way of services, so confirm check-in logistics and any special requests before you arrive rather than expecting walk-up support.

Very disappointing stay. We booked this cabin expecting a private, relaxing getaway, but the property did not match the listing or our expectations. When we arrived, the cabin was hot and no A/C had been left on, even though guests are asked at checkout to set all units to 74. The coffee maker was unusable, had old grounds in the water reservoir, and the wrong filters were supplied. Several lights were broken or unreliable, fans did not work, a fan remote was missing, and some shower features did not function properly. The kitchen also had expired spices, condiments, and coffee, some expired by years. Most disappointing was the lack of privacy: the deck, hot tub, and shower areas were visible from neighboring windows, which was not clearly disclosed. We reported the issues during our stay, but the response was mostly that things would be fixed later. That did not help us enjoy the amenities or experience we paid for. We would not stay here again.

It's a lovely property in itself, if only the cleaning staff did a better job – there were spider nests everywhere outside, and unfortunately some inside the house as well. There were food remnants on glasses, dishes, and cutlery, and the tables and floors were still smeared with grime from the previous guests. Towels were provided, but unfortunately not entirely clean, and the house didn't smell particularly fresh... – a real shame, as the property is otherwise quite nice! The driveway is very steep, but accessible by car.
