A rustic Fish Camp cabin rental with mixed reviews and an unpaved access road

About

Raccoon Hideout is a small vacation rental in Fish Camp, just outside Yosemite's south entrance near Wawona and Mariposa Grove. It's a cabin-style stay rather than a hotel room, and it's worth going in with realistic expectations — guest feedback on this property has been mixed and there isn't much public information to go on beyond a handful of reviews.

What Past Guests Have Said

Reviews are limited, and they vary widely. One guest described cleanliness problems, including an unpleasant smell and kitchen utensils that weren't properly washed, and noted the property has only one bathroom, attached to one of the bedrooms — an awkward layout if you're sharing the space with people outside your immediate group. Other guests rated their stay much more positively, but with only a few reviews on record, it's hard to call a clear pattern. Ask the owner directly about current cleanliness standards and the bedroom/bathroom layout before booking.

Getting There

At least one guest flagged the access road as unpaved and rough going. If you're booking here, it's worth confirming your vehicle can handle an unpaved road, especially if rain or snow is in the forecast, before you commit to a reservation.

The whole place was smelling and even utensiles in the kitchen were not clean. Only one bathroom which is not common and attached to one of the bedrooms making it uncomfortable for people staying in another room to use. Road to reach the place is not paved at all too, very risky. This is the worst place to stay.
