You're paying for proximity to the park - the Redbud lodge is an offshoot of the Cedar lodge which is 2 miles away from redbud. For checkin and any assistance, youll need drive to the cedar lodge where theres a reception/front desk. The cedar lodge also has many amenities like a fitness center, swimming pool, coffee/tea, a grocery store, and restaurants. All of these amenities are available guests of redbud. The redbud lodge has around 6 primary units (all on the 2nd story of the lodge). Because there are only 6 units, it is very quiet in the area. The units are a bit old and fairly basic. The water pressure was a bit low, there were some cobwebs in the room, but aside from that the room was fine. The room comes with a kitchenette (stove, microwave, fridge), and has pots, pans, plates, etc. Overall I give this place 3 stars, since you need to travel 2 miles for any assistance and the rooms are also very basic, however if all you care about is being close to Yosemite, this is a great place to stay for the night.

Sister lodge of Cedar Lodge. The room exceeds expectations- comfy bed, super quiet even though next to the highway, and also has a FULL kitchen with toaster, cutlery and even pans!

We were in a lodge in woods.wow wildlife heaven you need a car up road 2 miles there's a shop and few resterau ts.but cabin was basic and clean hot tub and Barby on veranda.2nd bedroom accessed by stairs outside or bunk bed stair rail.

First off I don’t hardly ever leave reviews but I felt like I owed it to others searching for a place to stay. When we walked in we immediately went into the bathroom and noticed ants everywhere, especially in the tub. There were black spots on the ceiling just outside the bathroom. I don’t want to know what that was. When my daughter went to take a wash cloth from the counter it had a brown stain on it. We also discovered that the ants we saw in the bathroom were evidently everywhere because we had dead ones on the bottom of our socks. Also the toilet kept plugging up. I guess that’s why they had a plunger in there. Unfortunately that was broken also. In the other room we rented, the air conditioner was loud. It sounded like a pair of tennis shoes were in the dryer all night. Lastly, in that room the coffee maker didn’t work. We went to the office the next day and were told the hotel manager would be contacting us. It has been 5 days and we have heard nothing. I gave plenty of time for them to call and do the right thing.If for some reason the manager calls now I will update this review but I don’t see it happening. These rooms were not even close to worth the $220 per room. I feel sick I spent that much now.
