We recently stayed at Karen’s B&B in Yosemite National Park. It was a wonderful and exceedingly positive experience. This B&B is the ONLY B&B in the National Park and was recommended to us by a friend. We had reservations to stay in Yosemite Valley at the Ahwahnee Hotel, but changed out plans when we heard about this B&B. We are really glad we did. Karen was the perfect host and her B&B was wonderful. It was clean, well decorated and comfortable, and had everything we needed. We loved the fact that it was out of the crowded Valley- we would visit there during the day, they retreat back to the quiet and solitude of the B&B each night. Karen was extremely helpful to us throughout our trip. A life-long resident of Yosemite, she was an absolute wealth of inside information and gave us experienced and expert advice on what to see in the park and what to do (and not do). We found her suggestions to be consistently correct and on-target and got to the point where we ran all of our plans by her (where to go and when where to eat, what to see, etc). Yosemite is a BIG place (the size of the state of Rhode Island) and would be a big challenge to try to explore all on your own. Her inputs significantly improved the quality and enjoyment of our trip. We would definitely visit again and wholeheartedly recommend this place to any other travelers to Yosemite.

This is hands down the best place to stay in Yosemite Park. It’s perfectly located inside the park and run by a wonderful lady named Karen. She makes you feel right at home and provides all the information you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The place is impeccably clean and well-equipped with everything you need. The rooms are super nice and comfortable and the amenities are available. And let’s not forget the epic views from the top floor! I’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I had a great stay here for three nights. Karen is an amazing host with great stories to tell of her adventures. There was a hot breakfast every morning at 8 am. If you plan on leaving earlier than that, you can still get a quick breakfast in since snacks (yogurt, bars, some fruit) and drinks (coffee, tea, milk) are available all day. The B&B is about 30 minutes drive from Yosemite Valley and Glacier Point, which is so so convenient!! We almost always managed to get into the park early enough to park at the lot we wanted. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. There was AC but we didn’t need it when we visited early June 2026. There is a patio with an AMAZING view of the sunset. No cell coverage in the area, but Wifi works great. If you had any questions about things to do in Yosemite, Karen was the best at giving recommendations that are suited to your physical fitness level. Of note, there are about 3 floors of stairs to the B&B (about 88 steps) and no cooking allowed (no microwave either). We did a mix of buying groceries ahead of time or eating at the many restaurants in the park.

Our best B&B experience ever! Karen is a wonderful host and the home was exactly what you would hope for in Yosemite National Park. Karen met us and took time to answer all our questions as first time visitors to California and Yosemite. She had maps available and offered great suggestions on how to best take advantage of our time available to explore. The deck was great for viewing sunsets and the early morning brisk air with your coffee, great to start the day. The location within the park is essential, avoiding lines having to enter the park everyday. Our room was great, private bath included. Bed was comfortable and there were enough a/c outlets for our devices to be charged up for the day. Karen highlights on the website that there are a number of steps (88 to the top) that will need to be climbed. If you can make the climb, it is well worth it.
