About

Mariposa Park & Ride is a straightforward staging point for Yosemite trips: leave your car in the lot, catch a YARTS bus, and skip the driving once you're headed up into the park. Visitors rate it 4.8 out of 5, and the reviews consistently point to the same reasons — plenty of space and a genuinely useful alternative to piloting your own vehicle up mountain roads.

Parking Details

Parking is free for the first 48 hours, according to reviewers who've used the lot for multi-day Yosemite visits. One traveler left a car here for four days while riding YARTS in and out of the park, noting it was especially convenient in winter, when the alternative is driving the mountain roads yourself and dealing with tire chain requirements.

On-Site Amenities

  • Coin-operated laundry on site

Good to Know

The lot connects directly with YARTS (Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System) buses running into the park. A few riders mention that YARTS buses aren't always exactly on time, so build in some buffer if you're working around a fixed schedule. One review also flagged an outdated posted Amtrak schedule at the location — confirm any train connection times directly with Amtrak rather than relying on signage here.

Deixamos o carro 4 dias aí e pegamos o Yarts. Excelente solução para ir ao Yosemite. Principalmente no inverno, pra não se preocupar com tire chains.
